Look around the captured shape
Rotate and zoom to inspect the scan mesh from different angles. Check visible surface gaps and details before presenting the result
Export a mesh from your scanning or photogrammetry software and open it on iPhone. Inspect the captured shape, look at surface details, and share a model others can turn around for themselves
One app for every use case · iPhone, iOS 17+
Sample models show the viewing experience. Bring your own exported scan mesh
3D scans
Rotate and zoom to inspect the scan mesh from different angles. Check visible surface gaps and details before presenting the result
View supported textures in a GLB or vertex colors in a PLY mesh. Switch to Blueprint view when the conversation needs to focus on geometry
Create a browser link from the app so a client or colleague can inspect the scan. With Pro, add dimensions after checking scale and include them in the presentation
How it works
Finish capture and processing in your scanning software, then export a supported mesh file. Use GLB to keep textures with the model, or PLY for a mesh with vertex colors
Save the file to Files and import it into Core 3D Viewer. Check the geometry, appearance and physical scale before adding dimensions or presenting it
Present it on your iPhone or create a share link while online. The recipient can explore the model in a browser without installing your scanning software
From your files to your phone
Import from Files on iPhone and keep your models together in one library
Import a polygon mesh, not a raw point cloud. PLY meshes can display vertex colors; STL shows geometry with a default material. A self-contained GLB is the simplest option for a textured scan

Questions, answered
Core 3D Viewer opens an existing model for inspection and presentation. Capture, reconstruction, cleanup and mesh simplification happen in your scanning or modelling software before export
Raw point clouds without polygon faces are not supported, including point-only PLY files. LAS and E57 files are not supported. Export a polygon mesh from your scanning software in one of the supported formats
Supported textures can appear in a GLB, and PLY meshes can show vertex colors. STL does not carry the scan's textures into the viewer. Check the imported appearance before sharing, especially when the source uses separate texture files
Sharing limits apply to the whole uploaded package, including supporting files. See Free & Pro for current limits. If the package is too large, prepare a smaller mesh or texture set in your source software and import that viewing copy
